Voices & lip sync

Filmoyo’s materials describe voices and on-screen lip sync for a speaking character. Plan dialogue around the stated scene limitation, then review pronunciation, timing and rights before publishing.

Keep each speaking scene simple

The seller describes lip sync for one speaking character per scene. Write a short line, make the intended speaker obvious and avoid staging a rapid multi-person exchange in one shot. If the conversation needs several speakers, consider splitting it into separate scenes.

Listen to the result with the visuals. Check whether the voice begins and ends at the right moment, whether the words are pronounced correctly and whether the mouth movement looks plausible. The available voice and model options may vary by plan or change over time.

Voice selection is an editorial decision

A voice should fit the character and audience without misleading the viewer about who is speaking. For brand and educational content, check names, technical terms, tone and language before exporting. A generated narration still needs human review.

If you use voice cloning or upload a person’s recording, obtain explicit permission from that person and keep evidence of consent. Do not imitate a real person to suggest an endorsement or statement they did not make.

Check the final cut and your rights

A polished still does not guarantee good speech in motion. Watch the entire scene, verify subtitles separately and review the music, voice and image licenses for the destination where you plan to publish.

See the commercial license guide and privacy and consent checklist before using generated speech in client work.
